Entrusted and authorized by China Ministry of Information Industry, Telecommunications & Information Service Consulting Center of China Academy of Telecom. Research (hereafter referred to as “Telecommunications & Information Service Consulting Center”) has fulfilled the relevant work about license annual examination of China VSAT communication service. With the purpose of ?correctly analyzing and evaluating the characteristics and development trend of China’s VSAT communication market, strengthening experience exchanges among telecom enterprises, promoting communication between telecom operator and manufacturer and advancing the healthy development of China’s VSAT communication market, Telecommunications & Information Service Consulting Center and Digital Communication World jointly hold the Seminar of China VSAT Satcom Market Development 2007 on May 31, 2007.

The seminar will be an opportunity for all experts from Telecommunications & Information Service Consulting Center and satcom industry to discuss and exchange experiences about VSAT operating status and mode, VSAT application prospect and development of new technology and new service.

The experts will study and discuss the hotspot content based on the Analysis Report of China Satcom Industry 2007.

Leaders and directors from Telecom Administration of MII will be present at the seminar. They will introduce the relevant policies of China’s telecom development. The VSAT operators, manufacturers and integrators will present their new technology and products and successful experiences.

Part 1. Seminar backdrop

VSAT communication market is a service with developing potential. It has been attracted great attention in the world. In China, under the policy supervision with the characteristics of standardization, order and opening, VSAT market developed rapidly and persistently. Nevertheless, there are much more difficulties and challenges to the VSAT market operation for some enterprises. So many enterprises leaders pay more attention to finding their advantages and raising revenue and promoting the development of their enterprises.
